These Terms govern your use of the BrandEU mobile application. By using BrandEU, you agree to these Terms.

1. Introduction

Welcome to BrandEU. These Terms & Conditions (“Terms”) govern your use of the BrandEU mobile application (“App”). By using BrandEU, you agree to these Terms.

BrandEU is created and maintained by an independent developer based in the European Union. There is no company behind the App.

If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use the App.

2. Purpose of BrandEU

BrandEU helps users discover European alternatives to global brands. All content is provided for informational purposes only. BrandEU does not endorse, represent, or have any affiliation with the brands listed unless explicitly stated. Unless expressly labeled otherwise, brand profile descriptions published by BrandEU are editorial or informational content only and do not imply authorship, review, approval, or endorsement by the relevant brand.

3. Eligibility

You must be at least 16 years old to use the App. If you are under 16, you may not use BrandEU.

4. Use of the App

4.1 Personal Use Only

The App is provided for personal, non-commercial use.

4.2 Prohibited Activities

You agree not to:

Copy, scrape, export, or reproduce the App’s database or content
Reverse engineer, decompile, or modify the App
Use automated systems such as bots or crawlers
Interfere with or disrupt the App
Misrepresent BrandEU or impersonate the developer
Use the App for any illegal or harmful purpose
Falsely claim authority to represent a brand, business, or rights holder

5. Brand Profiles, Claims and Brand-Provided Content

5.1 BrandEU-Written Profile Content

BrandEU may create, write, edit, and publish informational brand profile content within the App, including “About” sections and similar descriptive content for unclaimed brand profiles.

Such content is provided for general informational purposes only and, unless explicitly stated otherwise, does not imply that it was written, reviewed, approved, or endorsed by the relevant brand.

5.2 Claiming a Brand Profile

Certain features of BrandEU may allow a user to claim a brand profile and edit specific public-facing profile content.

By claiming a brand profile, you represent and warrant that:

You are authorized to act on behalf of the relevant brand, business, or rights holder;
All information submitted as part of the claim is accurate and complete; and
You will keep claimed profile information reasonably up to date.

5.3 Brand-Provided Content

Any text, descriptions, images, links, logos, contact details, or other materials submitted, uploaded, or edited by a claiming user (“Brand-Provided Content”) are the sole responsibility of that user and/or the brand they represent.

You agree that Brand-Provided Content must:

Be accurate and not misleading;
Comply with applicable law;
Not be defamatory, fraudulent, deceptive, or unlawful;
Not infringe any intellectual property, privacy, publicity, or other third-party rights; and
Not contain malware, spam, or other harmful material.

5.4 License to BrandEU

By submitting or editing Brand-Provided Content, you grant BrandEU a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to host, store, reproduce, format, adapt for technical display, publish, and display such content within the App and as reasonably necessary to operate, improve, and promote the service.

This license is limited to the operation and promotion of BrandEU and does not transfer ownership of your content.

5.5 Verification, Review, and Removal

BrandEU may, but is not obligated to, review, verify, moderate, refuse, edit for formatting, unpublish, or remove any brand claim or Brand-Provided Content at its sole discretion, including where:

Authority to represent the brand cannot be reasonably confirmed;
The content appears inaccurate, misleading, unlawful, infringing, or otherwise violates these Terms;
A third party disputes the claim or the content;
Legal, security, moderation, or quality concerns arise; or
The claimed profile becomes inactive, outdated, or unreliable.

BrandEU may request additional information to verify a claim at any time.

5.6 No Guarantee of Verification

BrandEU does not guarantee that claimed brands, claimant identities, or Brand-Provided Content have been independently verified in all cases.

Claimed or edited profile content may reflect information provided directly by the claimant or brand representative. BrandEU is not responsible for verifying every statement before publication.

5.7 Claim Revocation

BrandEU may suspend or revoke a brand claim at any time if:

The claimant is no longer authorized to act for the brand;
The claimant violates these Terms;
The claim is disputed;
The profile contains inaccurate, misleading, or unlawful content; or
Continued access creates legal, operational, or reputational risk for BrandEU.

6. Brand Information & Accuracy

BrandEU includes information about European and global brands. While the developer aims for accuracy:

Information may be incomplete or outdated
Product classifications and recommendations may be inferred or approximated
Logos and trademarks belong to their respective owners
No guarantees are made regarding completeness or accuracy
Some brand profile information may be prepared by BrandEU for informational purposes
Some brand profile information may be submitted or edited by claimed brand representatives
BrandEU does not guarantee that Brand-Provided Content has been independently verified in all cases
The presence of an “About” section or similar profile text does not mean the brand has authored, reviewed, approved, or endorsed that content unless explicitly stated

BrandEU is not responsible for decisions or actions taken based on the information provided.

7. Intellectual Property

7.1 App Content

Except for third-party trademarks, all:

Data
Layout
Text
Visual elements
Metadata

are the intellectual property of the developer.

7.2 Third-Party Trademarks

All brand names and logos belong to their respective owners. They are used under Fair Use principles for identification only.

7.3 License to You

You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, revocable license to use BrandEU for personal use.

8. Sponsored Content & Paid Promotions

BrandEU may display certain brands or content as “Featured,” “Promoted,” or “Sponsored.”

Labeling

Sponsored content will always be clearly labeled as such within the App.

Disclaimer

Paid promotion does not imply endorsement or recommendation by the developer. The developer is not responsible for:

The accuracy of claims made by sponsored brands
The quality or performance of their products

Users acknowledge that some content visibility may be influenced by commercial partnerships.

9. Privacy

Your privacy is important. Please refer to the BrandEU Privacy Policy for details on how data is collected and processed.

10. Liability Disclaimer

To the fullest extent permitted by law:

The App is provided “as is”
No guarantees are made regarding accuracy, availability, or reliability
The developer is not liable for:
- Errors or omissions
- App downtime or data loss
- Inaccurate brand information
- Consequences of using the App
- Sponsored content or third-party claims

Use of BrandEU is at your own risk.

11. Changes to the App or Terms

These Terms may be updated at any time. If material changes occur, they will be announced within the App. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance of updated Terms.

12. Termination

The developer may restrict or terminate access if:

You violate these Terms
Legal or security concerns arise
The App is discontinued

You may stop using the App at any time.

13. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by:

The laws of the European Union, and
The laws of the developer’s country of residence

Any disputes must be resolved by the courts in that jurisdiction.
